Downtown D.C.

On the National Mall and it was kind of rainy! We had to run from one Smithsonian to another dodging the raindrops.

The National Cathedral I must admit was probably one of my favs!! The old gothic style cathedral was just incredible inside and out. Darth Vader's head is on one of the spires! And there is itty bitty Jordan...
At the U.S. Capitol overlooking the National Mall. Beauty huh!
U.S. Capitol. We pretty much blew off all the tours I requested from our congressman because they didn't fit in with our schedule. Kind of sad that we didn't see inside, but still good times.
We walked the entire distance from the capitol to the Lincoln memorial and halfway back plus detours= a grand total of like 5.5 miles in one evening. Good thing too cause we ate like a whole pizza between the two of us at "We the Pizza" before the walk. We are pretty much foodies we decided. This is as close as you can get to the White House nowadays without a tour. Our tour was scheduled badly which made us very sadly.
Hello President's House!

"Ketchup" (Catch up)

Washington D.C. and Virginia

We had a BLAST on the East Coast. First day there we went to Thomas Jefferson's house. I learned so much about him. Ashli watched Tucker for the day and we got to go explore Monticello. It was so beautiful there....and swelteringly hot. And it looks like I don't like my husband in this picture, but I honestly do. Haha. We had such a fun day!!
At the beach! First time on the Atlantic Ocean. LOVE the warm water.
The back porch view of George Washington's home. Even more beautiful and immaculate than Thomas Jefferson's. (Not to be comparing forefathers here, we are all equal).
Washington D.C. Temple. We even did a session there. So worth taking the time for. Just as breathtaking as everyone says...
Tucker being a cutie while Ashli watched him and we got to go gallivanting to D.C.
Stay tuned for more on D.C...

BOISE STATE GAME!! We went to my parent's to watch the game and eat some yummy food. It was so nerve racking, but they pulled it out! The Bronco's do so well under pressure.

We watched Jon and Rachel's kids one night while they went to the Dave Matthew's Band Concert and Tucker was enjoying the swing.
Jordan likes to wear my headband. Hahahaha.

Tucker being a cutie.

Salt Lake Relay

Labor Day weekend I drove my parent's Smartcar down to Utah to play with Amy and run in the Salt Lake Half Marathon Relay.

We were cracking ourselves up...although now this doesn't seem as funny.
The graphics on our shirts were pretty hideous. I was thinking a little Sharpie might help the ladies bubble butt.
The starting line...Danny ran the first leg...all uphill. Poor guy. He cruised though.
Danny stretching
Amy thought I was supposed to be at mile 8.5 instead of 9.5 to switch off so there was confusion.

Sprinting to the finish line. I'm in the air! (And I'm the one with the bubble butt now)

This guy ran the 1/2 marathon in a suit! HAHA!

So proud of our glass medals. We could use them as plates they are so huge.

1st Place winners! Wahoo. There were only like 6 relay teams, but still, 1st is 1st!!
Way to go team Rita, Frieda, and Joe!

Trip Planning

We are going to Washington D.C. in about a month now. Hotels will make you go bankrupt in downtown D.C., so I started searching out a deal...and found a place that turns out to be in the bad part of town. (Good thing I did my research BEFORE I paid the non-refundable fee). Turns out we will probably be sleeping and dining with cockroaches and bed bugs. Oh yay. I called Jordan at work and was bawling about the awful situation. He reassured me it will all work out. I just hope we come back alive. This isn't a third world country, it can't be that bad....right?

Tucker enjoys taking over our bed for his morning naps...
I made some homemade baby food yesterday. It was the easiest thing, just cooked the carrots and ground them up with a little added water. I love how natural and healthy it is and I know exactly what my baby is eating, rather than prepackaged baby food jars.
A little bit chunkier than I would have liked, but Tucker still enjoyed it!

McCall with the Hansen clan

Camping CAmPInG CamPING Camping CAMPiNG
Jordan took the week off work and we went camping in McCall with all of Jordan's family. Two of the nights there were HUGE thunderstorms all around us. We played a game of War straight from Brazil, went wake boarding, Tucker had his first boat ride, and hung out at the beach. Inspite of all the rain, we discovered that Ridley's in McCall has the BEST doughnuts.

Marsh full of mosquitos. Yum.

BOB can go anywhere! We left ours home but Jon and Rachel were nice enough to let us use theirs. Way to go BOB!!

Girls weekend in Oregonia

Let's just say it was pretty miraculous that I actually left my son for a whole weekend and turned out to be okay with it! We went on a Rogue River jet boat ride. The tour guide was spinning cookies, and drenched us. The scenery was breathtaking.
They took us to a lodge down the river where we ate dinner. Steve with our table's pitcher of beer...no worries, we returned it. But lets just say other tables didn't and the ride back was a little more rambunctious.
Saturday we went to the adorable town of Jacksonville and did some shoppin. Don't you love my hat?
There was a bit of craziness when Susan and my mom found the candy cigs...
Look at the size of this mallow...this is no parlor trick...it's like 4 times the size of your average mallow!
(Maybe you can't tell from the picture, but I'm not joking!) It was a very fun weekend! So glad I went!
Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum Concert!!

Jordan got me tickets for the concert for Mother's Day and the day finally came for the much anticipated event! Lady Antebellum and Tim were both so awesome. Two women weaseled their way past security and jumped on Tim...yikes...crazies. I'm not gonna lie, he is a hunk(with his hat on), but I like most of all how he is a good family man.
He may look microscopic....but he's down there!!

Thank you Jordan! It was a blast!
Attempt at a Photoshoot with Tucker

He is trying to explain something to his lion.
